Medication-Assisted Weight Loss Treatment
Our Medication-Assisted Weight Loss Treatment includes compounded semaglutide which belongs to a class of drugs called glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) analogs. GLP-1 analogs increase incretin levels, prompt the pancreas to increase insulin levels when needed, and reduce the unnecessary amounts of glucose produced by the liver. The benefits of GLP-1 analogs are reducing the speed at which the stomach digests and empties food, which results in appetite reduction, weight loss, and decreased cholesterol and blood pressure. GLP-1 is the body‘s natural way of controlling blood sugar, regulating appetite, and controlling caloric intake. Managing blood sugar helps individuals lose weight, especially when combined with a healthy diet and exercise plan. Additionally, Youthful Aesthetics offers compounded Tirzepatide, a Glucose-Dependent Insulintropic Polypeptide (GIP) receptor agonist. GIP drugs interact with the GIP hormones to regulate blood sugar levels, slow digestion, and decrease appetite. They also affect insulin sensitivity in fat and muscle, improving glycemic control and increased weight loss.
